Are celebrant ceremonies legally binding?

In Wales, celebrant ceremonies are not currently legally binding for weddings. Couples need to complete the legal paperwork separately with a registrar, usually in a simple ceremony a few days before or after their celebrant ceremony. For funerals, naming ceremonies, and vow renewals, there are no legal requirements as these are purely celebratory occasions.

How far in advance should I book?

For weddings, I recommend booking 6-12 months ahead, especially for peak season dates (May-September). Funeral services can usually be arranged within a few days as needed. Naming ceremonies and vow renewals are flexible based on your family's preferences.

All my packages include initial consultations, bespoke script writing, multiple drafts and revisions, unlimited contact, coordination with suppliers, and professional officiation. Wedding packages also include ceremony rehearsals.

How many revisions do ceremony scripts include?

Wedding ceremonies include five script reviews, while other ceremonies include three. In practice, most couples need fewer revisions, but I want you to feel completely confident that your ceremony script is perfect.
